Overview

Authorizes an individual to carry on the business of a Fur trader in New Brunswick and to buy, sell, barter or export particular parts or carcasses of wildlife that have been lawfully taken under the Act.

Eligibility

Resident and Non-Resident persons applying for a Fur Trader's licence must apply for the licence by paying the appropriate fee and providing the following information:
- Name and address
- Location of warehouses, shops or other buildings in which the pelts or parts of carcasses will be stored
- The place from which the pelts or parts of carcasses will be shipped out of the Province
Fur Traders are required to provide specific information within specified periods to the department in order to retain the licence.

Description

The parts of the carcasses of wildlife covered by this licence are the claws, teeth, urine, tail, prepared pelt and scent glands.
