Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator Licence

Overview
The holder of a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator licence may offer his or her services to the public to hunt, trap, snare, remove, or relocate nuisance wildlife to prevent damage to private property or to prevent injury to the owners or occupants of private land.
Eligibility
Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator Licence Requirements:
All applicants of a NWCO licence must:
- be at least sixteen years of age,
- provide satisfactory proof that the applicant has successfully completed a Firearm Safety Course approved by the Minister,
- provide satisfactory proof that the applicant has successfully completed a Trapper Education Course approved by the Minister,
- provide satisfactory proof that the applicant has successfully completed a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator's Course approved by the Minister,
- not be currently restricted from obtaining a licence or permit under the Act,
- not be suspended from holding a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator licence
- pay the prescribed fee
Description
Nuisance Wildlife: beavers, chipmunks, coyotes, foxes, deer mice, house mice, pigeons, porcupines, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, starlings and groundhogs.
The Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator licence expires annually on December 31st.
