Overview

Propane, natural gas and medical gas systems must be inspected to ensure installation meets minimum regulated standards.

Eligibility

Gas inspections must be carried out on all new installations and modifications or additions to any existing gas installation.

Description

Inspections are carried out by the Department of Justice and Public Safety on all gas installations with a total connected load greater than or equal to 5 million British Thermal Units (BTUs).

Audit inspections are carried out on installations less than 5 million BTUs, according to a risk management assessment.
