FREDERICTON (GNB) – Enforcement officers from the Department of Justice and Public Safety will participate in International Roadcheck 2022 from May 17 to 19.

Sponsored by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance, International Roadcheck is a three-day event, where certified inspectors conduct enforcement and educational initiatives targeted at various elements of motor carrier, vehicle and driver safety. Agencies across Canada, the United States and Mexico will be holding events.

“Having an event like International Roadcheck is crucial in our province”, said Public Safety Minister Bill Hogan. “We all have a role to play to ensure safety on our highways.”

Enforcement activities will be organized throughout the province, with special attention given to the Salisbury inspection facilities near Moncton. The Salisbury facilities will remain open for 72 hours. For the full three days, enforcement officers and staff from partner agencies will be on hand to carry out inspections.
