Government of New Brunswick

Overview

The National Safety Code (NSC) Program was developed to promote compliance with safety requirements, laws and regulations to ensure carriers are compliant with all National Safety Code standards and to achieve consistent safety standards across Canada

Eligibility

National Safety Code standards are designed to provide jurisdictions with a record of driver and carrier performance in terms of compliance with safety rules and regulations. The standards support enforcement activity to remove unsatisfactory drivers and carriers from service, and identify the type of information which will be maintained on each commercial driver and carrier.

Description

Services are provided through National Safety Code safety ratings. Facility auditors check records of drivers and carrier profiles for accuracy. The auditors also review reports including trip inspections, log books, vehicle maintenance and load security to ensure laws and regulations are followed. This helps reduce collisions and increases safety on our highways. For contact information see the related link for National Safety Code.
