FREDERICTON (GNB) – The following statement was issued today by Lt.-Gov. Brenda L. Murphy:

Earlier this morning, I received official word from the Office of the Governor General of Canada, confirming that His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

On behalf of all New Brunswickers, I extend to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and all members of the Royal Family, our most profound condolences.
