FREDERICTON (GNB) – A full day of entertainment and family fun is planned for the New Brunswick Day celebration on Monday, Aug. 7, in Fredericton.

Celebrating New Brunswick is this year’s theme so I cannot think of a better time to do so than on New Brunswick Day,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace. “This special day is an ideal time to celebrate why there is no better place to be than here in our province. We have so many stories to share and so many reasons to be proud.”

Celebrations will begin at noon and last until 10 p.m., featuring fireworks at about 9:45 p.m. over the Westmorland Street Bridge.

The activities will take place rain or shine and feature family-focused activities, along with multicultural performances by New Brunswick artists and musicians, including:
