CHARLOTTETOWN (GNB) – Team New Brunswick won five medals Thursday at the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Charlottetown.

On the second day of judo competition, Mahée Savoie of Moncton captured silver in the women’s individual 57 kg category while teammate Brandi Lingley of Quispamsis won a silver in the women’s individual 70 kg division. Dakota Sanzana of Fredericton and Felix Cyr of Edmundston each won bronze medals in their respective categories.

Graham Goodwin of Fredericton garnered a silver medal in the men’s épée individual fencing event.

Thursday’s five-medal performance brings the province’s total to 13.
