FREDERICTON (GNB) – Cannabis and other items were seized from businesses in Fredericton and Dieppe on Feb. 2 by investigators with the Department of Justice and Public Safety’s Safer Communities program.

In Fredericton, a warrant was executed in partnership with the Fredericton Police Force at Sky High 420 at 315 Main St. A 24-year-old man was arrested and subsequently released. He has an April court date to face charges under the federal Cannabis Act. A yet-to-be-determined quantity of cannabis, cannabis derivatives, cannabis products and other items were seized.

In Dieppe, a warrant was executed at Green Buddha/Giggles to Go at 432 Champlain St. A 29-year-old man was arrested and subsequently released. The investigation is ongoing. A yet-to-be-determined quantity of cannabis, cannabis derivatives, cannabis products and other items were seized.
