FREDERICTON (GNB) – The student financial assistance application for the 2019-20 academic year is now available. Students should complete their application as early as possible to ensure any eligible funding is available for the beginning of their studies.

This application is for New Brunswick residents attending post-secondary education programs starting between Aug. 1, 2019, and July 31, 2020.

“With one application, students will be considered for student financial assistance programs from both the provincial and federal governments,” said Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Trevor Holder. “We are making student financial assistance fairer for more students. Student financial assistance follows students regardless of the post-secondary education choices they make.”

There are several forms of assistance available to help students access post-secondary education, including loans, grants and bursaries.

Students and their families are encouraged to visit studentaid.gnb.ca to apply and learn more about the student financial assistance programs available to them.
