FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government is making available to the public a number of one-acre Crown land camp lots for rent.

“I am pleased that our government is making these lots available to outdoor enthusiasts throughout the province,” said Natural Resources and Energy Development Minister Mike Holland. “New Brunswickers who enjoy the outdoors will now have a chance to access more areas of the province for hunting, fishing and other recreational activities.”

There are currently 2,962 camp lots on Crown lands which generate $1.5 million in revenue annually for the government. Annual rent is about $ 400 for upland lots and $800 for waterfront lots.

A map showing the Crown land camp lots is available online and prospective renters may visit specific lots if they wish.

Interested New Brunswickers can apply now for a camp lot by filling out an application form and access information on the conditions that apply to the lots, both of which are available online.

We hope that New Brunswickers will take advantage of these properties,” Holland said. “It is another way for people in our province to enjoy the benefits of nature.”
