FREDERICTON (GNB) – The results of the province’s first wild turkey draw are now available.

Hunters can verify the draw results by checking the Department of Natural Resources and Energy Development website. When verifying the draw results, applicants are required to provide their Outdoors Card number and date of birth.

“New Brunswick’s current wild turkey population has created an exciting opportunity for hunting enthusiasts,” said Natural Resources and Energy Development Minister Mike Holland. “Congratulations to this year’s successful applicants and best of luck to hunters planning to take part in what I am certain will become a springtime tradition. Be safe and enjoy.”

There were more than 4,800 applications for the 400 wild turkey licences available for this year’s hunt, which runs from May 10 to May 22. Wild turkey-specific tags and information packets have been mailed to successful applicants. Once this tag has been received, the applicant can purchase their licence through e-licensing, Service New Brunswick or authorized vendors starting April 26.
