Overview

This program is to provide the public with access to wreath tips from Crown land. Harvesting the tips of balsam fir provide the producers the material for making Christmas wreaths and other Christmas decorations.

Eligibility

Members of the general public may purchase a permit at a District office, or by using the Online Link on this page. Please have your Outdoors Card Number and a valid email address ready, as well as a credit/debit card.
The permit may be issued to an individual or a family unit.

Description

A permit is required by all individuals harvesting, removing, transporting, or are in possession of Crown land greenery/tips.

Balsam fir tips are essential to the production of New Brunswick made wreathes and other Christmas decorations.
Crown tips must be processed into wreathes, garland, or other products in New Brunswick and cannot be exported in their raw form without ministerial approval.
