Brunswick Charlie 2020 is a provincewide emergency preparedness exercise planned for June 02 2020 in New Brunswick.

This one-day exercise will give communities, municipalities, First Nations and local service districts an opportunity to practice their respective roles during an emergency event.

All New Brunswick communities are invited to participate and take advantage of this learning opportunity in emergency response planning. To register please complete the “Exercise Brunswick Charlie 2020 Questionnaire and Confirmation of Participation” found in the link below. Once completed, email to [email protected] by Dec. 15, 2019.

The exercise scenario of Exercise Brunswick Charlie 2020 will revolve around a weather event unfolding across the province. Advanced weather reporting, simulated social media, and web-based news reporting will add to the realism of the exercise. It is anticipated that this year’s event will be a severe heat wave culminating with a tropical storm. Further details will be developed and discussed at the initial planning conference in Fredericton on Jan. 14, 2020.
