There are several factors that influence how successful a community is when responding to an emergency. Being prepared is one of the most important factors.

If a crisis happens in your community and you and your family need help, emergency workers may not be able to reach you immediately. This is why the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization recommends you be prepared to fend for yourself for a minimum of 72 hours.
