  • Unless you have been advised by Public Health to self-isolate, you are expected to report to the workplace. You are invited to discuss with your manager of the safety measures that have been implemented in the workplace in order to significantly reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19

  2. If you are too unwell to work, sick leave may be used, based on your collective agreement

  • Your manager will seek additional information about your limitations and any workplace accommodations that can be put in place

  • If a remote work arrangement is not possible, sick leave credits may be used, based on the applicable collective agreement or management non-union provisions
  • If sick leave credits have been exhausted, leave without pay may be used, and you can apply to see if you’re eligible for Employment Insurance sick leave benefits

 

All work-related international and out-of-province travel has been cancelled.  Employees who travel do so at their own risk.  Please see responses below for personal travel.

 

All school related international and out-of-province student travel is cancelled.  All provincial or district travel is cancelled until further notice.

Workers who are healthy and who commute locally to and from work, where the person lives close to the border in one province and works at or operates a business in another are permitted to enter.

All such workers and individuals who are exempt from self-isolation must travel directly to and from work and/or their accommodations, self-monitor and avoid contact with vulnerable individuals, and follow the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
