A new kindergarten-to-Grade 5 school in Fredericton will be built on McAdam Avenue School’s current site, replacing that school and Nashwaaksis Memorial School. Causeway gates permanently closed

The new Petitcodiac bridge construction project reached an important milestone. The gates of the existing causeway have been permanently dropped, forcing the Petitcodiac River under the new bridge as part of the planned work. The new bridge should be open to traffic in October. Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Jill Green activated the permanent closure on Tuesday, May 11, in Riverview.
